Top Ten Books Read So Far in 2015

It's already hard to pick my top ten favorite reads from only half of the year. This doesn't include the books I've re-read by C. S. Lewis which are always at the top of my favorites list:

1. Jesus Feminist: An Invitation to Revisit the Bible’s View of Women by Sarah Bessey - This was a re-read and I loved it just as much as the first time I read it.

2. Leaving Church: A Memoir of Faith by Barbara Brown Taylor - I love everything I have read by Barbara Brown Taylor and I want to re-read all of her books already!

3. Disarming Scripture: Cherry-Picking Liberals, Violence-Loving Conservatives, and Why We All Need to Learn to Read the Bible Like Jesus Did by Derek Flood - I didn't necessarily agree with him on everything, but I still liked this book and plan to re-read it.

4. The Ragamuffin Gospel by Brennan Manning - This was also a re-read: One I feel the need to re-read about once a year.

5. Searching for Sunday: Loving, Leaving, and Finding the Church by Rachel Held Evans - I LOVED this book. I want to re-read it again already! There were so many "me too!" moments. I felt like she wrote it just for me or she was writing part of my story!

6. The Bible Tells Me So: Why Defending Scripture Has Made Us Unable to Read It by Peter Enns 

7. Ready Player One by Ernest Cline, Narrated by Wil Wheaton - This was a lot of fun to listen to as an audiobook.

8. Healing the Gospel: A Radical Vision for Grace, Justice, and the Cross by Derek Flood 

9. Surprised by Hope: Rethinking Heaven, the Resurrection, and the Mission of the Church by N.T. Wright - This book changed the way I thought about the nature of heaven. So good.

10. If You Feel Too Much: Thoughts on Things Found and Lost and Hoped For by Jamie Tworkowski
