The House of Hades is the fourth book in the Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan. I found the first two books in this series (The Lost Hero and The Son of Neptune) to be much stronger stories and more entertaining. But I had a really hard time getting into and getting through this one. I think part of the issue is related to character development, or lack thereof in this book. I'm sure I will still read the next book though. I still want to know what will happen to the characters.
This is the 11th book I have finished this year.
