What is coming you may ask? (or you may not, but I will answer anyway.)
Some more regulated substantial blogging from me! Aren't you excited? (I don't even know who "you" is anymore. It might just be one or two people but you know what? That's okay too, because the nature of these new more regulated substantial blogs is such that it's really not about you anyway :) but it's not about me either! That's the great thing! So what am I talking about? Well, my xanga friend, Renaissance_Phoenix has been blogging weekly on things she is thankful for? Why? Well, because in the Bible, God tells us to give thanks in all circumstances. This has been one of those themes that has kept coming up in my life for well over a year or two now and I figured maybe, just maybe I should give it a try. And what I mean by that is I am going to be more intentional in being thankful to God for all of the blessings and even all of the tough stuff - which I usually don't feel like being thankful for. Renaissance_Phoenix did her thankful blog on Thursdays, and that does have that nice alliterative thing going for it. (Seriously, go check out the entry on stuffchristianslike.net on alliteration and sermons - it's hysterical - and is the reason I laughed when Dave Stone said, "The Church is a Colossal Collection of Committed Christians.")
ANYWAY. I think Sunday will be my day to post on what I am thankful for, not for some super holy reason like it's "The Lord's Day" but because I think I generally have more time on Sundays than other days of the week to commit myself to blogging weekly on that day. So. There you go. In the meantime, go read Renaissance_Phoenix's latest entry on her year of thankfulness and go read stuffchristianslike.net.
